Nowadays, the mechanical equipment of the filter press generally consists of three parts, namely the frame, the pressure system (brake system) and the filtration system.

1, the rack

The frame is the most basic structure of the filter press, just like the bones of the human body, it plays a role in fixing and supporting. It includes the machine foot, the bearing beam and so on. The general frame is made of pig iron, which is subjected to welding, grinding, anti-corrosion treatment, scraping, painting and other processes. It is worth mentioning that the girders are the main part of the loading and unloading system.

2, braking system

The brake pressure system of the chamber filter press is divided into three types: manual, mechanical and hydraulic. Manual pressure application system refers to the use of a spiral mechanical jack to push the compression plate to apply pressure to the filtration system. This is the most primitive way and the pressure is minimal. Mechanical pressure is a way for high-power motors to be the source of power. It uses the motor to rotate and drives the gear to make the screw rotate and push the filter plate to move. When the mechanical pressure is getting larger and larger, when the certain pressure is reached, the load current in the motor reaches the design value. At this time, the motor automatically cuts off the power and stops the pressure.

The hydraulic pressure system is the most widely used brake system. It uses a hydraulic cylinder to provide high-pressure oil to push the piston rod forward, and the piston rod pushes the filter plate forward to pressurize the filter. When the filter chamber pressure reaches the design value. When the relief valve begins to unload, the hydraulic motor will automatically cut off the power supply, so that the pressure in the filter chamber is fixed (holding pressure). When the filter press needs to maintain pressure, the hydraulic device is turned on and off by the pressure gauge of the filter chamber. When the gauge pointer reaches the upper limit, the hydraulic device automatically cuts off and the oil pump stops supplying oil. When the gauge pointer drops to the lower line, the gauge will automatically turn on the power to the pump and continue to apply pressure to the filter system.

3. Filtration system

The filter mechanism is composed of a filter plate, a filter frame, a filter cloth and a press diaphragm. Both sides of the filter plate are covered by a filter cloth. When a press diaphragm is required, a set of filter plates is composed of a diaphragm plate and a side plate. The diaphragm plate is covered with a rubber diaphragm on both sides of the substrate, and the filter cloth is covered on the outer side of the diaphragm, and the side plate is an ordinary filter plate.

The filtration system is the core part of the solid-liquid separation of the mixed liquid. When the liquid passes through the filtration chamber, the liquid is diafiltered out of the filter cloth, and the solid remains on the filter cloth. According to the specific method of the filtration system, the filter press is divided into a plate and frame filter press, a diaphragm filter press, a car filter press, etc.
