Google Test New Search Service: Virtual Doctor Video Consultation

Technology blog site Engadget reports that Google is testing a new search service that allows users to talk and consult with doctors through video chat tools when searching for illnesses.
The working principle behind this search service is simple: when a user searches for a condition (such as a knee pain), Google sends a notification to the user asking if they would like to video chat with the doctor. It is reported that Google currently only tests these search services for some users. During the testing phase, all virtual doctor consultation fees are borne by Google. It is unclear how much it will charge after the feature is finally released.
Although in most cases, this type of virtual chat with doctors is definitely not a substitute for a face-to-face visit to a hospital, it allows users to understand their condition before they see a doctor.
Currently, a Google spokesperson has confirmed media reports that the company is developing a chat tool similar to the Hangouts platform that allows users to video with doctors. Google said the goal of the service is to provide the most useful information to those searching for basic health information. This service will be integrated with the Hangouts platform. Currently at Hangouts, experts can provide paid training or consulting services to users via video chat.
