Is That Really a Tail??

Doesn’t looking at those cute baby faces make your heart melt and your body react in unexpected ways?  Well, if you're a guy reading this, you probably don't feel that way… and maybe even feel a little awkward right now. That’s totally okay, I’ll stop talking about the biological reactions and move on to the baby.After all, men are always so comfortable around babies, right?
This is our little cousin, who we all welcomed into the world with so much joy. His dad just came home from Iraq three hours before his mom went into labor! You might have heard about him before here. Â
We’ve had the chance to spend some time with him at our house. Baby Blue absolutely adores him and is always ready to entertain him—sometimes a bit too much. She has the pacifier ready as soon as he starts crying. If there's even the slightest chill, she wraps him up in blankets. She’s always eager to hold the bottle, showering him with love and kisses. That’s just how it is when you have a baby in the house.
As the visit went on, this precious little boy started to squirm and show signs of discomfort. It was time for a diaper change. Without hesitation, we laid him on the mat and began cleaning him up (by “we†I mean “his motherâ€). Baby Blue has been involved in every part of taking care of this little one, so we didn’t think twice about changing him there—until we heard Baby Blue say, “There’s his tail, right there!†It took me a second to figure out what she meant… and then it hit me… ‘that’ was his ‘tail.’
Yep, Baby Blue, you’re absolutely right. Little boys do have ‘tails,’ and that’s all we’ll say about that. It’s not like we’re going to explain anything else anyway.
