Method for reducing corn empty stalk rate

In recent years, we have found in the production that some of the high-yield fields in corn have serious empty stalks. According to the survey, the average emptiness rate of land is 5% to 15%, and serious land mass is as high as 25%, which seriously affects the yield of corn. The main reasons for the empty stalk of corn are: during the ear development period, the product of photosynthesis synthesis is insufficient, and the development of the ear is delayed or stopped, resulting in increased stalks. In other words, the factors that affect photosynthesis, such as insufficient water and fertilizer, malnutrition, and unreasonable density, are also the main reasons for the formation of empty stalks. To reduce the empty stalk rate of corn, the following points must be made.

First, improve the lighting conditions in the field. Selection of compact varieties with vertical leaves, planted in wide and narrow rows, with a 90cm wide row spacing, a narrow row spacing of 50cm, and a plant spacing of about 40cm. The plants are mainly planted on two plants, supplemented by individual plantlets, and planted every 667m2. 4000~4500 strains. This mode of cultivation has better ventilation and light transmission in the field, and has a higher light energy utilization rate, which is conducive to the formation of photosynthetic products, increases nutrition of the ear, and promotes ear differentiation.

Second, scientific fertilization watering. The first 15 days of corn tasseling are sensitive to moisture. In this case, watering in time should be timely to promote ear development and shorten the interval between male and female flower opening, which is conducive to normal pollination and fertilization of maize, and reduce empty stalk rate. Corn fertilization from jointing to cutting is the most vigorous stage of growth and development. During this period, sufficient supply of nutrients can reduce the emptying rate.

Third, reduce tassel consumption. Reasonable emasculation reduced the apical dominance of tassels, reduced the consumption of nutrients by tassels and the inhibition of the ear, and could effectively promote the growth of corn and grouting. When the tassels are exposed, the tassels can be removed alternately or septally, but the functional leaves cannot be damaged. After the first emasculation, half of the tassels were in the field, and they were able to meet the needs of pollination. After pollination is complete, remove the remaining half of the tassels to reduce nutrient consumption. (

With the improvement of living standards, snack foods have been deeply loved by the masses of the people. When you walk into the supermarket, you will see snacks such as preserved fruit, sour horns, potato chips, almonds, pistachios, fish fillets, dried meat, and spiced fried meat. Snack foods are gradually upgrading to become the daily necessities of the people. As the economy develops and the level of consumption increases, consumers' demand for the quantity and quality of snack foods continues to grow.
