I. Vitamin A deficiency
Symptoms: The diseased pig has dry skin, dull coat, indigestion, loss of appetite, slow growth, poor vision, and nervous disorders. Severe crippling, circling, unstable gait, dyskinesia, and even paralysis of the hindquarters can occur. If this disease occurs in the sow, it is prone to miscarriage or stillbirth. The born piglet winks, even if the piglet is normal in appearance, the constitution is very weak, and it is easy to die.
Prevention: Use 20 grams of pine needles, wolfberry juice or dripping juice, add feed once a day, once a day, feed for several days. You can also feed more carrots, silage, and other foods rich in vitamin A.
Second, vitamin B deficiency
Symptoms: In the absence of vitamin B2 (riboflavin), sick pigs develop retardation, vomiting, skin rash, and hair removal. In the absence of vitamin B3 (pantothenic acid), the pigs suffer from poor appetite, poor growth, diarrhoea, coughing, loss of coat, and dyskinesia, especially in the "goose step"-like exercise posture. In the absence of vitamin PP (nicotinic acid), the pig's appetite is abolished, weight loss, severe diarrhea, skin cracking, covering of black ecdysis, nervous disorders, and anemia.
Prevention: In the preparation of pig diets, pay attention to the full supply of vitamin B-rich bran and silage, germination feed. If corn is used as the main feed for a long time and vitamin P (niacin) deficiency can be caused, corn should be appropriately reduced in the feed to increase bran, silage, germinating feed, and juicy tuber feed.
