Mulberry Winter Management Measures

Excavate the diseased plants to inspect the mulberry field in winter and early excavate the diseased plants with mulberry dwarf disease, bacterial wilt disease and root rot, thoroughly clean the fallen leaves, and use the quick lime to disinfect the tree cavities and around them. The lack of seedlings must be replanted before the soil is frozen. The mulberry used for replanting should be selected from high-quality, sturdy grafted seedlings, preferably 2-3 year-old saplings.

Winter plowing and winter plowing can improve the soil and fertility; eliminate pathogens, weeds and weeds that overwinter in the soil, reduce the overwintering base number; cut off some old roots and promote new roots, which will help increase tree vigor. The winter plowing time should be sooner rather than later. It is usually carried out after mulberry defoliation and before the soil is frozen to prolong the weathering time of the soil, improve the pest control effect, and is conducive to receiving more rain and snow. The depth of ploughing is generally about 20 to 25 centimeters, and the distance between the rows should be deep, and the mulberry tree should be shallow, so it is better not to break the rough roots.

Fertilizer mulberry garden winter fertilizer should be applied mainly organic fertilizer, fertilization amount of about 2500 kg per mu, generally after mulberry leaves fall into.

After the above winter irrigation work is completed, the entire park will pour frozen water.
