After reading the introduction in the newspaper, I was planning to test the soil, which may be caused by unreasonable use of fertilizer. I took the soil in strict accordance with the method of taking soil samples and came to the "Shouguang Soil and Fertilizer Testing and Research Center" to test six indexes including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic matter, salt, and pH. A week later, the test results came out: soil organic matter was 34.2 g/kg, hydrolyzable nitrogen was 226.2 mg/kg, available potassium was 487.26 mg/kg, and available phosphorus was 358.35 mg/kg. The soil testing experts told me that the soil N, P, and K in the shed all exceed the indicators, of which phosphorus is the most, exceeding the appropriate range nearly 3 times. In addition, the total salt content is high and the soil is salt and alkalinized.
Experts told me that the accumulation of phosphorus is a major cause of yellowhead problems in cucumber plants. Because too much phosphorus nutrition will promote crop respiration too much, consume more organic nutrients and less accumulation, especially when encounter bad weather such as even cloudy days, often because plants do not have sufficient nutrient reserves, leading to plant resistance Reduced, increased disease, plant wilting or dead trees after a sunny day. And excessive application of phosphate fertilizer will affect the activity of calcium, zinc, copper, molybdenum and other trace elements, causing crops to absorb difficulties, causing lack of elements. In the current greenhouse, especially in the old shed areas, the problems of vegetable yellow leaves and umbilical rot caused by lack of nutrients have been aggravated year after year. An important reason is that the excessive use of phosphate fertilizers leads to the obstruction of absorption of trace elements and the imbalance of soil nutrients.
Through soil testing, I found out that there are many problems with cucumbers. I am prepared to reduce or eliminate the use of phosphate fertilizers in the next cucumber base fertilizer. I do not need to flush fertilizers with high-phosphorus fertilizers, and increase the amount of organic fertilizers and biological bacterial fertilizers, and use them in basal fertilizers. Focus on the use of trace elements, so that the soil will be alleviated.
