The V-700 Type 1 Viscometer is a portable, hand-held instrument that measures instantaneously by inserting fluid. The sensor section is a solid structure with no moving parts and is connected by a flexible circuit to a hand-held microprocessor with a display. The whole machine power supply is a small battery. This rugged, lightweight, wear-resistant construction makes the instrument ideal for field measurements in any harsh environment in a factory or laboratory environment.
Unlike traditional rotary viscometers, the instrument can use any volume of sample, which has no special volume limits or container limits for fluids, but guarantees accurate readings. Therefore, it is able to fundamentally measure the viscosity of the liquid drawn from the tanker without any prior sample commissioning. The sample is quickly analyzed and evaluated to yield a reading. Its rapid detection is very important when temperature changes or other conditions. When the liquid to be tested is collected and sent to the laboratory, it can no longer reflect the true viscosity of the liquid due to temperature changes or time delays, and the instrument can be detected in real time without rapid sampling. Insert the liquid to be tested directly for a few seconds to get the viscosity value.
First, the working principle:
The end of the sensor is a vibrating hammer that is connected by a rod bearing that produces a standard frequency of vibration. When vibrating, the movable part of the sensor shears the liquid to be measured. Due to the different viscosity of the liquid, the energy of the part is different and the energy is lost. Therefore, the energy lost during each vibration is sensed. The circuit is measured and displayed on the display of the microprocessor. From this energy loss, the viscosity of the liquid is obtained. Therefore, the viscometer is sometimes considered to be a vibrating viscometer, and the device can measure not only the viscosity but also the density, that is, the viscosity x density. In practice, the viscosity varies more than the density, and the density of the liquid can be derived by entering its value on the display.
Third, measure the viscosity
The viscosity is measured straight down. Simply insert the sensor into the fluid being measured and the viscosity reading is immediately displayed on the display in Centipoise. To ensure that the viscosity does not vary locally due to the temperature difference between the probe and the liquid, the test head can be used to agitate the liquid. Fluids that contain large amounts of solids exhibit unusual cutting characteristics and some instability in readings. In this case, the test head is kept agitated and the viscosity reading is performed to obtain a better measurement result. For fluids close to Newtonian properties, the measurement is best.
Fourth, the temperature correction:
The processor has an algorithm for correcting the temperature from the (production) line condition to other reference temperature values.
Five, the alarm
The processor continuously monitors its own and sensor's operational performance and issues several alarms in the event of a fault or trespass.
Six, check
All instruments were verified at the manufacturer by more than 3 reference samples. The standard reference fluid is a certified silicone oil, and in some cases other fluids may be used depending on specific requirements.
