Spraying rice leaf fertilizer should pay attention to the problem

The best time to apply foliar fertilizer is during the early-season growth of large rice plants, at the heading stage, grain filling, and full heading period. Spraying per mu (approximately 667 square meters) takes more than one hour. If applying fertilizer during flowering, it's best to spray in the morning before flowers open and again after 4 p.m. to avoid damaging the blossoms. Various liquid fertilizers can be used, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium sources, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, triacontanol, borax, silkworm feces, and human or animal urine. These materials need to be processed into a liquid form before application. The day before spraying, quick-acting fertilizers should be diluted with 5 to 10 times their volume in water to prevent them from drying on the leaves. Human and animal urine must first be decomposed in a pond, while silkworm excrement should be soaked in 10 times its volume of water for 24 hours, then filtered and sprayed. Borax should be crushed and mixed with a small amount of water to create a concentrated solution before being applied to the base of the plants. Depending on the seedling development and disease symptoms, different fertilizers should be selected. For green phosphorus, poplar, and similar crops, a mixture of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers is recommended. A typical recipe includes 0.25 grams of urea, 0.5 kilograms of superphosphate, and 0.25 kilograms of potassium chloride dissolved in 60 kilograms of water. Alternatively, 2.5 to 3.7 kilograms of cooked cow manure can be mixed with 1 kilogram of superphosphate in 60 kilograms of water. If leaves appear yellowish and growth is uneven, especially in thin soil, nitrogen-based fertilizers should be prioritized, combined with nitrogen and phosphorus to improve plant health and uniformity.
