Spraying rice leaf fertilizer should pay attention to the problem

The best time to apply foliar fertilizer is during the early-season growth of large rice, heading stage, milk-ripening period, and full-heading phase. Each application per mu (approximately 0.067 hectares) takes more than one hour. If fertilizing during flowering, it should be done in the morning before the flowers open or after 4 PM to avoid damaging the bloom. Various liquid fertilizers can be used, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium sources, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, triacontanol, borax, silkworm excrement, and human or animal urine. The dosage per mu is relatively small, but all materials must first be processed into a liquid form. For quick-acting fertilizers, dissolve them in 5 to 10 times their volume in water the day before spraying to prevent drying on the leaves. Human and animal urine should be decomposed in a pond first, while silkworm excrement should be diluted 10 times with water, left to sit for 24 hours, then filtered and sprayed. Borax should be crushed first, mixed with a small amount of water to create a concentrated solution, and then applied directly to the base of the plants. Depending on the condition of the seedlings and disease symptoms, different foliar sprays are recommended. For green phosphorus and poplar plots, phosphorus-potassium fertilizers are suitable. A common mix includes 0.25 grams of urea, 0.5 kilograms of superphosphate, and 0.25 kilograms of potassium chloride per mu, all dissolved in 60 kilograms of water. Alternatively, you can use 2.5 to 3.7 kilograms of cooked cow urine, 1 kilogram of superphosphate, and 60 kilograms of water. If the leaves appear yellowish and growth is uneven, especially in thin soil, it’s best to apply nitrogen-based fertilizer, combined with phosphorus to promote healthy development.
