Autumn chicken needs heart

After long-term egg production and hot and humid summers, chickens are very tired. The nerves of chickens are very sensitive. Slight stimulation will stop moulting in advance. Therefore, the feeding and management of chickens in autumn must be meticulous.

First, do not change quickly when you increase feed. In order to keep the flock healthy and continue to produce, it is necessary to provide enough nutritious feed to supplement the consumption in the fall, to maintain late moulting and improve production. At this time, animal protein feed should be added, and chickens that have not yet been moulted should be encouraged to grow their feathers quickly and resume production as soon as possible. Since the chicken's nerves are particularly sensitive at this time, it is necessary to slowly add the slow-sprinkling when increasing the feed, so as to avoid its nerves being stimulated and moulting.

Second, to prevent frightened and moved chickens. Chickens have always been afraid of life. During this period, strangers, especially those who wear bright clothes or uncommon horse breeders approaching the chickens, can cause chickens to be frightened and flying in a random manner, causing moulting to stop production. After the chicks have been grouped for two months, they will fix their chicken house.

Third, change the management of chickens. Chickens that produce fewer eggs start moulting in June and July. Those that are particularly late for egg production should be eliminated when they begin moulting. The mid-August to September moults are in the middle period. When the chickens are eliminated, the conditions will be relaxed. The chickens will be properly reared in groups and the moulting after October will be a valuable and productive process for late moulting. Chickens can be given good management conditions to maintain their high-quality genetic quality.

Fourth, prevent colds and chicken pox. After the beginning of autumn, the weather turns cold, especially if the weather is not normal in the morning and in the evening, and it is most likely to catch a cold. When a chicken has a cold, it loses its resistance and is prone to concurrent other infectious diseases. Most of the fowl pox occurs in the late autumn when it is opened, and it is mostly infected with young chickens. This disease is mainly to prevent mosquitoes and prevent moisture.
