This achievement, which was jointly developed by Zhejiang University and Heilongjiang Jiusan Oil & Fats Co., Ltd., passed the expert appraisal of the Chinese Academy of Sciences a few days ago. According to reports, the natural vitamin E extracted from soy salad oil processing waste, also known as tocopherol, has anti-aging and immune-improving effects, especially for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The current international market price is 660,000 yuan per ton. This achievement also marks a major breakthrough in vitamin production technology. The vitamin E produced in the past belonged to the synthetic products of the petrochemical industry. Compared with the high-content natural vitamin E of soybean, the absorption rate of the human body is greatly increased, and its activity is 8 times that of the synthetic vitamin E. At present, soybeans have been transformed from food products into an important industrial raw material in many developed countries. According to statistics, its products have reached more than 400 kinds. China's current development in this area is lagging behind, with only about 20 soybean processing products. Relevant experts believe that the prospects for deep processing of soybeans are very promising.
