It's one of those nights that feels like it’s been a marathon, but somehow I’m still standing. Just now, I carried my five-year-old daughter back to her own bed after she fell asleep in ours. She had stayed up way too late, the kind of late where the sky turns completely dark, and I couldn’t bring myself to wake her. Now, she’s tucked under her favorite blanket in her own cozy space, while I'm here trying to wrap my head around the chaos of the day. Procrastination hit hard today when it came to packing for my trip tomorrow morning. Instead of focusing on the suitcase, I ended up doing what I always do—laundry. By the time I finally got around to throwing some clothes into the bag, it was already late, and I felt like I was just throwing things in randomly. But hey, at least the whole family is sleeping on fresh sheets tonight, right? And even though I’ll probably lose a bit of sleep tonight, I’m still feeling okay knowing my roller bag is packed and ready to go. Oh, and speaking of today’s highlights—I managed to sneak into an early screening of *Breaking Dawn* earlier this evening, which was such a treat. Not only that, but I’m also thrilled to share that my first post over at *What to Expect*’s *Word of Mom* went live today! It’s all about moving with kids and how to survive those inevitable cranky moments. If you’re interested, I’d love for you to check it out [here](insert link)! I guess it’s safe to say today had its ups and downs, but overall, I’m grateful for the little victories. Like finding time for a movie or landing a spot writing for a community I respect. Life’s funny like that—you can feel exhausted and accomplished all at once. Now, as I sit here typing this, I can hear the soft hum of the house settling down for the night. The kind of quiet that makes me think maybe I’ll grab a quick cup of tea before bed. After all, I’ve earned it, haven’t I? signature
