The police in Hunchun County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province, recently smashed a family-owned trenching oil criminal gang that has plagued 28 counties and cities in five provinces for four years. Fortunately, 1,500 tons of waste oil flowing into the market was recovered. At present, 52 criminal suspects have all been detained by criminals and 32 people have been prosecuted according to law.

The Hunchun County police announced the details of the case's detection and opened the black oil industry chain across Hubei, Shandong, Jiangxi, Hunan, and Chongqing.

"Famous Edible Oil" only meets 3 standards

On August 28, 2011, a letter of complaint was sent to the director of the Hunchun Industrial and Commercial Bureau. According to the report letter, there are two shops selling the waste oil in the YiChang grain and oil wholesale market.

The Industry and Commerce Bureau of Hunchun County immediately deployed surprise inspections. When Ding Mou and Wang’s shop were inspected, industrial and commercial officers seized a batch of counterfeit Arowana edible oil. Due to the large number of suspected crimes, the industrial and commercial department transferred the case to the Hunchun County Public Security Bureau.

Initial investigation by the police found that Ding Mou et al. took pains to cope with the inspection: all the stores were arranged by the regular manufacturers of Jinlongyu edible oil, which at first appeared to be normal legal business; but if the buyer needs to be in pieces or even dozens of pieces. When cooking oil, they brought people to the warehouse to carry the oil. These oils are poor quality edible oils.

The Hunchun police sent the suspected inferior edible oil to the Wuhan Product Quality Inspection Institute for testing. It found that out of more than 30 inspection items, only three had reached the standard.

The police immediately arrested the suspects Ding Mou and Wang Mou, and seized a large number of poor quality cooking oil.

According to the account of Ding and Wang, the edible oil was bought from Mao and Zhao and other transport operators. “They are all delivering goods at midnight and night, and left Hunchun the night after the goods are unloaded.”

After thorough tracking, Mao, Zhao, Luo, and others have been arrested.

The police found that 41-year-old Luomou was a resident of Xiuling Street in Shishou City, Hubei Province and had long-term operations in the oil business. At the beginning of 2010, Luo Mou collaborated with Qiu Maoren Mao, Shi, and others and successively purchased and sold more than 700 pieces of counterfeit Arowana edible oil, which made a profit of nearly 200,000 yuan.

The transport operators who had been arrested explained that all of these counterfeit edible oils were from Guangshui City, Hubei Province. The police conducted a line investigation and eventually found a secret manufacturing base for the production of poor cooking oil in a private building near Lu Xing Avenue, Shilihe Town, Guangshui City, and arrested criminal suspects Hu Mou and Chang Mou.

Raw oils are all waste oil

According to Humou, in 2009, he together with Changmou and others jointly funded the establishment of a refinery, a large number of small workshops in a large number of acquisition of inferior oil, and then use counterfeit tools, by changing the packaging and model, so that poor quality oil change Jinlong fish edible oil.

In order to exploit the market, Hu Mou et al. also rented two residential houses in Tiepu Village, Caidian District, Wuhan City as a counterfeit warehouse, and mass-produced poor-quality edible oils.

In the counterfeit warehouse, the police handling the case collected 10,000 cartons with the Golden Dragon Fish logo, 46,000 trademarks, 105,000 bottle caps and 3,600 oil cans. The level of simulation has surprised the professionals of the Golden Arowana factory who participated in the action.

In addition, the police also collected a large amount of flavor in the production workshop. According to Humou, they are using these flavors to blend peanut oil, sunflower oil, and a variety of blended edible oils.

With the deepening of the case, Hunchun police discovered that the main raw materials for Guangshui's counterfeit dens came from Shandong and Chongqing, while the raw materials from Shandong and Chongqing turned out to be waste oil.

Hu Mou explained that in April 2011, he learned from a website called “World Food Stores” that Shandong Guangrao County Tongtai Edible Oil Co., Ltd. “has a stock” and has since purchased the waste oil at a price of 8,000 yuan per ton. Can save 3,000 yuan.

Hunchun police initially ascertained that the legal representative of Guangrao County Tongtai Edible Oil Co., Ltd. of Shandong Province was Song. According to Liu Qiuxi, instructor of the Public Security Bureau of Hunchun County Public Security Bureau, the waste oil produced by Hu goes mainly to the grain and oil wholesale markets of some county-level cities. Wholesalers often use regular oils to obtain a certain proportion of them in order to obtain high profits and to cross the sea. Incorporation of refined waste oil is finally sold to subordinate retailers at a genuine price of RMB 9,200 to RMB 10,500 per ton, and eventually forms a “one-stop” black industrial chain of raw materials, production, transportation and sales.

At present, the "black workshop" production of low-quality cooking oil has been fully recovered by the police.
