In the drug adverse reaction database of the center in 2012, 54 cases of adverse reactions such as hematuria and renal impairment were caused by intravenous infusion of clindamycin injection.

Tian Yuejie, deputy director of the Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center in Shandong Province, introduced that from the monitoring data, the number of adverse reactions caused by clindamycin injection was relatively large and should be given sufficient attention. "In this year's adverse drug reaction database, intravenous infusion of clindamycin injection caused hematuria, renal dysfunction and other adverse reactions in 54 cases. Fortunately, these patients were cured after treatment."

According to reports, clindamycin, also known as clindamycin, is a commonly used antibacterial drug, injections include clindamycin hydrochloride injection and clindamycin phosphate injection, clinically administered by intramuscular or intravenous drip Drug route. The analysis showed that renal damage is a known adverse reaction of clindamycin, and the risk of such adverse reactions in large doses, high concentrations, and rapid instillation is greatly increased.

The center reminded that in the clinical use of drugs, it should be controlled dose and dilution concentration, divided, slow administration, in the occurrence of low back pain, hematuria and other early symptoms of kidney damage, the drug should be suspended, if necessary, carry out related checks. For the elderly, children, and patients with impaired kidney function, care should be taken. Infants less than 4 weeks old cannot be used. The center also recommends that research institutions and manufacturing companies conduct in-depth studies on the dose of kidney damage and adopt more effective methods to reduce the incidence of kidney damage.

It is reported that at present, Shandong Province has established three levels of monitoring agencies for adverse drug reactions at the provincial, city and county levels, and has achieved comprehensive monitoring of adverse drug reactions.
